This is something I often hear…
There is never enough time…
to accomplish everything I want to
to really go after that dream
to spend time by myself
to do more for my family and community
to learn a new skill
to have regular coffee dates with friends
to network
to make a regular yoga class
to meditate
Although lets face it… we manage to find time to surf the Internet, check/recheck our email incessantly, or binge watch a new show on Netflix. (no judgement – I’m just saying)
Time is a funny concept and completely human-made.
It comes down to being intentional and setting priorities which often can be surprisingly difficult with all the distractions and our tendency for not saying “no” — but that’s for another email.
When it comes to our businesses I find that the concept of time becomes a blistery hot topic.
An incredible amount of time is wasted in our business doing things that really don’t matter.
We end up chasing after that shiny new strategy, this new blueprint, and that new software.
The “this” and “that” that is suppose to make us instantly successful ends up sucking up a tremendous amount of time. And we find ourselves painfully no further along.
You probably don’t need the latest and greatest strategy or blueprint. You need to better execute on (and do more of) what has already been working for you.
You probably don’t need to fiddle with your site, redo the whole thing or get caught up installing another plugin. You need to drive people to your site in a meaningful way and keep them interested and engaged.
You probably don’t need to take another course, another free webinar, another program. You need to implement what you already know. And my guess.. you already know plenty.
You probably don’t need to create yet another program, course or membership. You need to promote and sell the stuff you already have and figure out a better way to do so.
What you don’t need is more time. Because as we all know… we can easily fill that additional time with more busy-ness.
What we all need is to better utilize the time we have. We need to be strategic. We need to be intentional. We need to stop and put some real thought into why, what and how. Rather than simply reacting and spinning.
We need to work with what we’ve got!
The magic bullet isn’t going to be found in the next course or next strategy.
What you need is to get into action and stay in action with the support and mentorship of a group of fellow women on this shared journey.
