It’s hard enough running a business but when you’re a mom juggling the needs of your family and the passion of creating a sustainable business, it feels damn near impossible.

Guilt, shame, self-doubt, agitation, frustration, overwhelm – these feelings come up almost daily – usually before you’ve even had your first cup of coffee. But that doesn’t need to be the case!

Today Jenn Aubert of LearnSavvy is chatting with Alecia St. Germain on how to rework our patterns and beliefs so that we can be fulfilled in both our personal and professional lives with minimal (or no) guilt!

She also shares real world strategies to get over the false beliefs that starting a business or following your passion is selfish.

Many women, especially moms it seems, are feelings the pangs of guilt thinking that pursuing their dreams is a selfish pursuit… especially in the early days when one isn’t making the $$ expected or the business is taking up more time than anticipated.

If entrepreneurship could be linked to genetics, you might say it is in Alecia St.  Germain’s DNA.  Since she was a little girl, her parents have owned and operated several small businesses, including general contracting, residential real estate appraisal and investing, as well as, parking and traffic control.  As a teenager she found herself working alongside her parents in several capacities.  Although she received a degree from The Ohio State University in the medical field, she quickly realized that the flexibility and dynamic nature of entrepreneurship was where she belonged.

Her true passion and greatest fulfillment lies in combining entrepreneurship with the personal and professional development of others.  Whether she’s providing families with affordable home ownership opportunities using flexible and affordable options or helping someone recognize his or her potential, she prides herself in her commitment to the success of others.

Alecia has been a public speaker, coach, and mentor in the field of real estate investing for over 12 years.  As an Immunity-to-Change Map Facilitator and Certified ITC Coach, she is armed with highly effective tool and experience to bring lasting change to both individuals and organizations at both personal and professional levels.
